FoAA Quiz Night

If laughter and cheering are the way you gauge a good evening's fun, then the Friends of Aldro Association had a runaway success.

Defending champions, Goodbye Mr Chips, steamed away from the start then pulled into a siding and started shoveling clinker rather than coal and, before anyone could say GWR, the Aston Villains shot through on the express line, full steam ahead.

GMC gave chase but only to have GOP (Grumpy Old Parents) and MM (Miraculous Minds) bearing down on them at ever increasing speed. As the distance between 2nd, 3rd and 4th narrowed it was AV (Aston Villains) across the finishing line, clocking up a breathtaking 92.5.

All signal settings, shuntings, sand drags and scissor crossings were carried out from the marshalling yard by Mssrs Archer and Tuddenham.

RWL

1st Aston Villains (not Mr.and Mrs.Aston's team, surely ?!) 92.5 points
2nd Goodbye Mr.Chips (last year's defending champions) 88.5
3rd Grumpy Old Parents 82.5
4th Miraculous Minds 82

17 tables participated. Well done to all !
Every table scored better than 50%, even Norman's Knights, placed 17th with 66.5, did well really ! (Enjoy the lemons!)
(110 points was maximum).

Many thanks to Sheridan Charles and her team. £1100 was raised for Surrey Care Trust.
