IAPS Golf Championships 2008

The legendary Royal Lytham and St Annes Golf Club was the glorious setting for this year’s IAPS Golf championships.

The team of Ed Holderness, Harry Gwilliam and Henry Morton were some of the first boys to tee off. They took full advantage of the still, calm conditions and the clear course to score well on their outward 9.

At the half way stage prizes looked a possibility as the team lay second and Harry was second in the individual event.

Unfortunately, the coastal winds picked up and the course became more difficult to play. Henry and Ed didn’t score so well and the team title faded away.

Harry however maintained his superb form and, although he narrowly missed out on the overall title, he won the U14 title. A magnificent achievement on a tough course!
