Admissions

The majority of boys enter the school in Form 3 (age 7), although boys will be considered for Forms 4-8 if places are available.

The normal procedure is for parents to attend an Open Morning or arrange to visit the school and meet the Headmaster during term time when the school is in action. This is followed by the completion of the registration form which should be sent to the Admissions Office with the registration fee.

Boys should be registered by the December preceding the year of entry.
Each boy is invited to spend a part of a day at Aldro in the Lent term prior to his admission in order for him to be assessed. Reports are also requested from a boy’s current school.

Following the assessment, places will be offered to prospective parents and a deposit will be requested to confirm a boy’s place.  This deposit will be refunded after the end of the final term, less any outstanding charges, but is otherwise non refundable.

Generous bursary provision exists to support families of boys who would benefit from the education provided by Aldro. All applications are assessed on a means tested basis and parents are asked to contact the Admissions Office for further information.
