Old Aldronians

 WELCOME FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Our Association website is intended to help old boys, staff, former parents and friends to have immediate information about alumni events which we hope will be convivial gatherings giving the opportunity for companionship, building on those relationships forged at school. At the end of each year you should receive a magazine which is both a reminder of these events and gives a taste of them to those who missed them. It also contains various articles submitted by Old Aldronians, detailing some aspect of their current life, or reminiscing about their school days. A popular section gives brief peer group updates.

The website will be more up to date than the various paper-based and electronic mailings can be, especially as we regularly lose touch with some OAs because they change address. Do use the website to contact us and inform us, confidentially, of changes of postal and email address. (or you can make contact by emailing those on the contacts list, elsewhere on this website).

I have been hugely impressed by the exploits of Old Aldonians, (climbing Kilimanjaro, or Everest, working as missionaries, setting up their own businesses, playing in "Firsts" teams at school and university, being Head of House, Head of School) and it is always good to hear of the significant part Aldro has played in many lives –especially the typical comments such as "It’s great to still be in touch with so many Old Aldronians, many of whom are my best and oldest friends."

It is good to have Bob Stovold as an enthusiastic President. We have an excellent committee and I am most grateful to them for their time and their ideas. Thank you to David and Sue Aston and all at Aldro for welcoming back and entertaining Old Boys and their families so well many times in each year. The school and those in it never fail to impress.
