ISI Report - 2026

 

The report celebrates many aspects of school life and recognises the distinctive character of an Aldro education. Inspectors found that:

  • Aldro's co-curricular and enrichment programme was a 'significant strength'.
  • Aldro provides a 'safe, caring and inclusive environment' in which pupils are 'valued and flourish academically, socially and emotionally'.
  • The school's values of kindness, respect, integrity, humility and service are 'evident throughout the school community'.
  • ‘Teachers create purposeful learning environments in which pupils participate confidently and engage fully in their learning’
  • An exceptionally broad programme of co-curricular activities enables ‘pupils to flourish academically, creatively, physically and personally’
  • Relationships between pupils and staff are 'positive and respectful', with inspectors noting the 'culture of kindness' that permeates the school.
  • Boarding provision is 'highly effective', with staff creating a 'harmonious, homely environment' in which boarders thrive.
