Do you have Saturday school?

Children no longer have lessons on a Saturday. However, children in Forms 5 -8 will have sports fixtures which are predominantly held on Saturday mornings (in addition to the mid-week fixtures on a Wednesday afternoon).  

On some Saturday mornings, whole school sporting events will be scheduled instead of inter-school matches.  Pupils will also be required in school on a few other Saturdays, for example on our three Open Mornings per year and for days such as Regatta, Sports Day and Speech Day.

What are the timings of a typical school day?

Children booked to join us for breakfast are dropped at 7.30am.

For our normal morning drop off, pupils are welcomed from their vehicles by members of staff between 8am - 8.20am depending on their yeargroup. Each pupil’s first commitment of the day is Registration with their Form Tutor at 8.25am.

Collection times vary by form group (see table opposite), starting at 4.45pm and the last pick up is at 6pm. A free of charge waiting club is available after school until 6pm, followed by a pre-bookable supper club until 6.30pm (small extra charge).

Is there a minibus service for pupils?

Aldro currently operates a bus service, in the mornings only, from Shamley Green. The route is as follows:

• Godalming College Bus Stop, Tuesley Lane
• Queen's Sports Centre, North Car Park, Charterhouse School
• Aldro
