What transport links are available?

Aldro is nestled in the quintessential English village of Shackleford, we are surrounded by beautiful countryside yet ideally positioned just off the A3 offering excellent transport links to Guildford (15 minutes by car) and Godalming (10 minutes by car) and beyond.  Fast train links from both, put London and surrounding areas within easy reach.  Gatwick airport is accessible within 45 minutes and Heathrow airport within 40 minutes by car.

Is there a minibus service for pupils?

Yes, we currently run a morning school minibus service for pupils during term time.  Please enquire with admissions@aldro.org for further details.

What wrap-around care is there available?

We offer a pre-bookable Breakfast Club allowing you to drop your child off in time for breakfast, which is served at 7.30am (small additional charge).  A free of charge waiting club is available after school until 6pm.  A pre-bookable Supper Club runs from 6pm – 6.30pm (small additional charge).

Do you have Saturday school?

Children in Forms 5 -8 will have sports fixtures which are predominantly held on Saturday mornings (in addition to the mid-week fixtures on a Wednesday afternoon).   On some Saturday mornings, whole school sporting events will be scheduled instead of inter-school matches.  Pupils will also be required in school on a few other Saturdays, for example on our three Open Mornings per year and for days such as Regatta, Sports Day and Speech Day.
